My Roots
You might wonder — why is there a Niagara page on a Jamaica website? Simple. Because this is where I come from. I grew up in the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario — in the heart of Canada's Fruit Belt, in the backyard of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Before I found Jamaica, there was Niagara. These are my roots, and they are part of every adventure I take.

Where It All Began
I grew up on a farm in the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario — right in the heart of what they call the Fruit Belt. We grew pears and grapes, and the land was as rich and generous as any I've known. Long summer days, the smell of fresh earth, and the rhythm of the seasons shaped who I am. It was a beautiful place to grow up, and those roots run deep.
The Niagara Peninsula
The Niagara Peninsula is one of Canada's most celebrated wine regions — and for good reason. Nestled between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, the unique microclimate produces world-class Rieslings, Chardonnays, and the legendary Icewine. Rolling vineyards, charming wineries, and stunning countryside make this one of Ontario's most beautiful corners.
My Backyard Wonder
I have visited Niagara Falls hundreds of times and it never gets old. There is something about standing at the edge of that thundering water — the mist on your face, the roar in your chest, the sheer power of it — that reminds you how magnificent this world truly is. I grew up with Niagara Falls as my backyard, and I still love its magic, mystery, and energy to this day.
The Falls Never Sleep
At night, Niagara Falls transforms into something truly otherworldly. Coloured lights illuminate the cascading water, the mist glows, and the whole scene takes on an almost dreamlike quality. Whether you've seen it a thousand times or never at all, the falls at night will stop you in your tracks. This is the Niagara I carry with me wherever I go — from Ontario to Jamaica and beyond.
